youd be surprised. I get some flack for saying thus in other threads over the years, but bags can be quickly placed on connecting flights - much faster than pax. In all my years flying UA, I’ve had some delayed bags, but short connections, including sometimes ones that are right at MCT, even late for that, was never one of those times.

I remember one particular time many years ago, was flying YVR-ORD-DCA, when I arrived in DCA and couldn’t find my bag on the carousel. I went to the office to report it as delayed, but as I entered, saw my bag right there. It apparently has made the earlier connection - the one I couldn’t book because it was below MCT.

If anyone one is interested in the timing, this was in 2001. Around Oct or early November - literally within a week of DCA re-opening after 9/11.
