There is. There should indeed be a way to reconfigure this corridor and make it two-way instead of having to take the bus. On tight connections, I have nervously sat on that bus several times wishing for it to leave NOW. And I have been in situations where the upstairs OSS customs booths were so insanely crowded that I just went down and took the 'old' path downstairs through customs, bagage hall, elevator and security check to D gates.
