I had this problem about a month ago. In my case I think the email they sent had maybe gone into my spam folder and deleted itself because I hadn't looked there.
Anyway, I rang the Exec Club and explained my predicament. The person I spoke to re-sent the email (after checking the email address to use) and stayed on the line while I checked it had arrived. It went into the junk folder which is how I arrived at the conclusion the first one had gone there and then deleted itself. Anyway, end result was new email arrived, I clicked on link and all was good.
