How does AA Vacations post on a credit card (specifically Amex)? Would it qualify as an airfare purchase? I'm thinking of the Aspire card but other Amex cards have similar bonus categories and no bonus for "travel" as a broad category.
Also, can AA gift cards be used toward a purchase of an AA Vacation? The checkout screen indicates "gift certificates" can be used by calling in - not sure if that's the same thing.
