A few hundred?? Geez what DL plane are you flying?? My SYD - LAX flight earlier this week I think had ~100 - 125 (I think it was 14 pages with 8 each in the stacked view). A decent number but definitely not a few hundred.
The problem for me: They don't update them enough, many new movies aren't to my taste (not DL's fault), and the library is limited (better than some foreign carriers but a far cry from EK at the top end of the IFE library size).
The updating is the biggest problem though -- if you fly with any regularity (especially on TPAC / TATL / TCON flights) it's easy to get bored with the selection quite after one trip let alone two in the same month.
