if they replaced “this criminal activity” with “our incompetence” then we might be getting somewhere but they’re still behaving like a toddler who says they haven’t eaten a chocolate ice-cream whilst having their face covered in it.
Whether or not BA could have done more to prevent it does not make the theft less criminal.
