Probably the reason you were surprised by seeing this option is that AS only began prominently offering this as an option during OLCI in the mobile app recently (I believe in June). Before that, I would always call AS to SDC.
It's been available in the mobile app for a few years at minimum. Maybe the UX changed to make it more conspicuous recently?
