Does anybody have experience with receiving / being denied free breakfast as a Hilton Gold when booking a day rate? Specifically I'd be looking at the Hilton Rotterdam. The quoted hours are 9am to 5pm and I'd be arriving whilst breakfast is still being served.

Also, I notice that you can't book a day rate as a points redemption. Does anybody have any experience with getting around this? Maybe booking a normal redemption then phoning / emailing to ask for it to be converted to a day use room?
