What SHOULD happen is that Lifemiles negotiates with Austrian to reinstate your award, forcing open an award seat out of revenue inventory if necessary.
What will PROBABLY happen is that nobody will do anything until you give up and cancel. I wouldn't even be surprised if Lifemiles try to charge you a cancellation fee.
