I've stayed in a couple of American AC properties, though not this one. What is it about the European ones that interests you, and I'd be happy to help you with expectations here.
At it’s most basic, I really enjoyed both the AC Madrid Atocha and AC Milan because to me they were basically European aLofts — aimed at the millennial crowd (which I’m in), minimal but very functional furniture, modern look, modern feel, and I didn’t mind the one flowing room (because traveling by myself).
However, my Dad always comes for the annual Panthers trip so now that I think about it, AC is probably not the best option for a quick overnight. Might just stick with the CY after all in the Cat 4 band. Or just burn 8k Hyatt for the Hyatt Place where we stayed last year or grab the Hyatt House which is available for 4k + $55 (pre-C&P devaluation)
