Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Grand Cayman. We were greeted upon arrival and introduced, our name was asked and then via radio to reception were we were greeted by name and very politely registered. We were upgraded to a Jr. Suite because of our IHG status.
The room was very nice, living room with kitchenette. The bedroom had a king with very large and adequate walk-in shower, dual sinks and a tub. The balcony could not have been any larger, could host a party of 20 with ocean view.
This is the first time I thought the resort fee was worth it. I especially enjoyed the snorkel gear, free gap pro underwater cameras, cabaña and lounges, and water sports toys, at the beautiful beach with attentive service’s. All included in the resort fee. The pool had similar chairs, cabana’s. Good WiFi was available throughout the property.
Carol Henry, concierge, was a tremendous help in making arrangements, I would recommend contacting her prior to arrival. She will make sure you visit is most memorable.
The property is nicely landscaped and well manicured. I even saw a person cleaning the sidewalk stains with a cleaner and brush. There are closed water stations everywhere with fresh fruit inside.
Housekeeping was some of the best we have ever seen, attending to any request promply. I guess the thing we were most impressed with was the staff who were always friendly and helpful.
Don’t expect to find the restaurants to be inexpensive, but expect the quality to be some of the best.
Like all Kimton’s there is free morning coffee and afternoon wine. While we were there the hotel manager was pouring, you could free to talk to him about any concerns. Just another example of how friendly the staff was.
We will be returning in the future.
