I will try and sneak into the schengen area lounge then - (travelling MAD-LON I have done this last month to access the schengen T4S lounge - they then bus you to the gate non-schengen)
Hopefully HEL is equally as obliging on the day.
when you arrive you can just go through passport control to the schengen area. when you want to head to the gate just walk back and through passport control again. HEL is just one big terminal.
