Not sure if It's still applicable, but last month a friend registered his account on-line and got a 500 mile bonus. If that's the case (and you're not already registered on-line) your miles will live another 3 years.

Also, if you have any AMEX membership rewards you can transfer over (in 500 mile increments) some points to extend your VS miles for another 3 years.

I've taken to dumping my AMEX miles into VS as their Upper Class rocks (and no excise tax transfer fee for non-US airlines)!
