They made numerous announcements about boarding groups with no effect whatsoever, which is a clear sign that people simply don’t understand the groups and the intention.
One way which I think sort of works effectively is if, instead of announcing about boarding groups and the long litany of "and our Finnair plus platinum lumo, platinum, gold, silver members and OW emerald/sapphire/ruby members", the gate agent turns people away and just announces "business class boarding only? Any more business class passengers? Paging business class?" That somehow seems to get everyone to understand and wait.
