Hello...

Congratulations on making to SILVER... you're on your way up the MPC ladder that's for sure... but it's not going to take 30K more for you to make GOLD. You would need 60K tier miles to make GOLD. Your initial 31K has been zero'd down to nought and you need to 'start' again so to speak. Basically you have a year from the time you qualified for SILVER to accrue another 30K to retain SILVER the following year, or 60K to make it to GOLD. If you want to make DIAMOND, you need the 60K for GOLD first, and then the tier points again zero down.. and you need to accure 120K tier points to make Diamond.

You would need a copy of your ticket unfortunately to ask for retroactive credit on MU flights. Try perhaps asking your travel agent for a copy?

CX won't bump you off and especially onto another carrier that seems to take a longer route, but you might be OP-UP'd only on the day of travel if the class you're travelling in is oversold. And if there are no other GOLDs, DIAMONDS and Oneworld Emeralds and Sapphires ahead of you.
