Most of my TK experiences were when I was transiting through IST, and, there's always a separate transfer security for J class pax / ELPL pax. The few times I actually exited IST: I have used a line that was significantly shorter than other lines (maybe it was a separate line for J class / maybe I got lucky).
There is (usually) an immigration line for business-class and elites. But it often runs in competition with a parallel line for airport elites, dips and crew. Still, way faster than the regular line.
Business-class transfer security can be a bit of a bun fight: it's not always well policed.
