I did some research but didn't find the answer to my questions.
I lost my Gold status last year and dropped to Silver. My review date was February. Then it says that I have until Nov 30 to renew my gold status.
I thought we have a whole year ie 12 or 13 months to renew ?
I have two upcoming trips scheduled (and hopefully I will be able to collect enough tier miles to renew my gold status) however the second flight is scheduled mid December. A friend of mine told me that if I purchase the tickets before Nov 30, those tier miles will be taken into account. He told me that it's not the flight date that counts but the date of the purchase.
Is it true? And how come I only have until November to renew the status lost in February ?
