This was our (wife with me) first time flying into Canada (from AMS) since getting our iris scans (we are U.S. citizens). We got off the plane and were directed from most passengers to a looong walk to the special Nexus/Flight Crew area. No passport required, just insert your Nexus card into the machine with the picture on the card facing up and look into the small mirror for the scan (take off your glasses because the scan doesn't recognize you with glasses). We answered the "Visitor to Canada" question about bringing in more than $60 worth of goods "yes" (we had about C$500 worth of stuff we bought on our trip), We got slips noting we were over the limit and an agent directed us to a special counter. The agent asked us how much we had, we told her C$500 and that we were driving directly from YYZ back to Detroit. She marked our exit slip "OK", charged us no duty, and said have a good day. Start to finish we were through Nexus entry in 5 minutes, what a great experience!
