Hmmm, don't know about the tone, but am quite sure it wasn't meant that way. Anyway, back to the topic.

Whatever "privately resolving" means (maybe you have good connections there) if they status match you to RA then you can rightfully claim to be one of the luckiest guys around. All I have seen so far is that they status match someone to PC Plat and throw in Ambassador (not RA) for free for the first year. But these people easily clocked 200+ nights for some years at higher corp. rates (no internet saver stuff) at Hilton or Hyatt respectively. Could be the same in your case.

BTW, yes there are invitation certificates issued to RA members to pass on to one other person. It has a code printed on it (mine did in Europe) and I have been contacted by PC after giving mine to a business associate. They are rare though, so not sure if anyone has one to spare.
