The interesting thing for me is I do qualify under a 24-hour free cancellation thanks to US law. This time it is different in that I am being charged "per journey" (in other words, each direction) as opposed to "per ticket", as has always happened before. There was no indication when booking that I would be charged "per journey" as opposed to "per ticket". I'm thinking the justification is that part of the journey would have been on Air Tahiti Nui, so they double the service fee. Otherwise I can't figure it out.
