Just completed a one night stay. It is a steal at 5K. Since I was arriving later in the afternoon, did not want to spend a lot of points for a partial stay at another property.

Hotel decor is in line with Hyatt Place design. Common areas are very spacious. Breakfast has a lot more options than standard US properties. (Tacos, fajitas, etc) Complimentary starbucks coffee. When we came back from beach at 11am breakfast was still open so we had lunch. Plenty of fresh juice and fruit.

Free parking, walking distance to mall. Nice warm pool, decent gym. Wifi was good.

Odd views from rooms, some facing ocean, others mountains, and some adjacent to highway which is loud. We had a mountain view since I have no status. At least we had top floor. Rooms have fridge but no microwave.

My kids loved park next door. 2 Blocks to beach were we saw turtles, dozens of sting rays swimming at beach side and whales at a distance.

Due to hurricane, hotel is brand new since 2016. Everything was in working order.

This hotel was nicer and newer than the all inclusive resort I stayed at. But lacking a nice beach and big pool.

Wife and I agreed that next visit we will split our Cabo stay half the time at this hotel so we can do activities and sight seeing and the other half at the resort. I think it is a great combo to do Hyatt Place and Ziva in one visit to cabo. Both are walking distance from each other. And I will save a massive amount of points.
