Actual experiences with taking a Yo-yo (stroller) on board?

I’m a BA/AA regular and accustomed to taking our collapsible carry on size stroller (a Yo-yo Zen) on board. This is specifically allowed by policy. Even notoriouslt difficult SK was fine with it. For those who don’t know, the Yo-yo is a stroller which collapses to the point it fits in the sizer for carry on baggage. UA’s website seems to suggest an absolute prohibition on strollers on board regardless of size. I am curious however if this is just a vestige of yester-year when carry on strollers didn’t exist or if I’m likely to have issues on UA?
