I have never had such an experience at BWI -- most of the time, my laptop + gear (>2yrs old) doesn't get much attention. Security is always great there whenever I travel -- I'm from DE and although PHL is much closer, I always fly from BWI cause its quick and straightforward....usually from check-in to gate w'in 10 mins.
