The company I work for recently switched over to using Egencia this last week. Even though we had a perfectly fine travel program using our company cards. The issue I am having is the rates I've selected say "Loyalty Points," one even says earn an additional 1000 points each night. Which I booked because the rate was the same as the others listed. Upon checking in I found out they used the rate code "SEGEN" which apparently translates to a basic Expedia booking, which is not points eligible. Upon call them and explaining the issue I was first told no, not unless it says I can earn point, which it does. So after I got that across to the representative, she agreed I should be getting points. I was told to talk to the hotel manager and if I have any issues they can contact them and supposedly straighten it out. What is pretty pathetic is the cost difference using them vs. booking directly and attaching the receipt to the company card set up for gas and hotels. I've seen anywhere from $5/ night up to $40/night difference, with Egencia being the more expensive option.

Has anyone ever ran into this where the rate should definitely earn points, but the wrong rate code was used by Egencia?
