I am a Hyatt Diamond and a SPG Platinum, I have already completed the number of stays I need to requalify for this status through 2/06. Because of business reasons I will be traveling to several destinations served by Intercontinental hotels late this summer, this fall and this winter. Apparently my old SCC account was converted to a Plt/Ambassador, but it expires soon.

I have read some details about Royal Ambassador status being by invitation only and cannot find anything about it on the website. Moreover, I have heard that current RAs have been issued letters which allow them to invite someone into membership for a fee. What is the deal with that offer?

Anyone know IC's policy on comping members to RA status of other programs?

Anyone have an orignial invitation letter they would like to exchange for airline miles or hotel nights?

I'd like to stay with IC this summer, fall and winter, but does not make since to do so, if I can;t get true elite status. I might as well continue to stay wiht Hyatt or Starwood.

As I recall, the old SCC benefits, which are now regular Ambassador benefits are a joke.
