Can you do me a favor.. If you have the points, can you try actually booking that (or any other multi-city with less than a 4hr layover) and see if it actually works. For the last couple of months, I continually get error messages when doing mult-city bookings at the very last screen after putting in the credit card info. It doesn't matter if its a points booking or full cash, It always errors out if the multicity is less than 4hr connecting. If its over 4hrs and they bill you 2 seperate 5.60 fees, then it works. I even called southwest less than a month ago on one and the front line agent couldn't get it to work either.
Gladly, did above, no problem, one 5.60 fee. FWIW, after switching (finally) to Windows7 from XP, I've had a lot less problems like what you describe above, which was frequent...
