On September 2 I transferred 180,000 Marriott Points to American Airlines. After a few days the transaction appeared in my Marriott account as the deduction of 180,000 points as well as the addition and then subtraction of 45,000 additional bonus points.
On September 11 I received 59,994 American Airline miles in one transaction and then 14,999 miles in another. Altogether I was shorted 7 miles.
Last Monday I decided to call Marriott Guest Services about this shortage. I was on the phone for 43 minutes while the CR worked on this. He finally came back to me and apologized for the long wait and gave me a case number and told me that the miles would be credited to my AA account in a few days. He also gave me some Marriott points for the inconvenience.
Today the 7 miles posted to my account.
