I'd decided to go for an expensive but cost-effective five year multiple entry visa, but got put off by the insanely complicated procedures to follow (with no guarantee of success) - and by a visa agency representative who told me they do have success getting the visas for clients, but a number are unaccountably refused or granted with fewer than five years' validity. And, of course, no refund of the significant cost of the five-year visa.
