Same or linked PNR? Worth asking, but also worth checking what shows on the tag they print. I'd say safer to pick up your bag, I don't know what time you mean by morning but the dayliner (868) gets in about 8-9pm so it's presumably in the 10h+ range. And ime LHR baggage collection isn't that bad (especially if you are going to be spending an hour clearing customs).
