I've exhausted myself trying to come up with an itinerary! Usually I just book a flight somewhere and go with the flow but this time I have a few people who want to fly out and meet me for a few days so I have to have somewhat of an idea as to where I will be on certain dates.
Looking to basically explore the Iberian Peninsula for anywhere from 28-35+ days. The only things I really have planned that are time sensitive are Nochevieja Universitaria in Salamanca on December 13th, and Being back in America before New Years day. Flying from Las Vegas, the best option is to fly into Madrid however seeing how I will have to be in the Madrid area around the 13th of December its foolish to spend some time there then venture out only to come back for a few days as I will probably departing from there as well. This is essentially what my plan looks like so far:
- San Sebastian - 2 days
- Bilbao - 3 days
- Fly to Barcelona - 4-5 days
- Train to Valencia - 3 days
- Bus/Train to Cartagena - 2 days
- Bus to Granada - 2 days
- Bus to Madrid 5 days (including Salamanca on December 13)
The problem is I still want to see Portugal, at least Lisbon, and Porto. And I would still love to see Seville in Spain. Am I doing way too much? Should I cut out Valencia, Cartagena, and Granada from my plans?
Any input would be appreciated.
