At the end of the day, it’s SQ’s goodwill that matters. It doesn’t matter if your flight was originally supposed to get a lie-flat seat or an upright park bench. They don’t guarantee the equipment and products, and it’s stated in the Conditions of Carriage. If they stick to the rules, you’d have little recourse.
