Has anyone experienced lately whether it’s still possible to head to gate at KLIA just with BA mobile app boarding pass?

Arriving SIN-KUL on MH, and then KUL-LHR on BA34 - on separate tickets. Understand MH is one of those OneWorld “exceptions” which will check luggage at SIN all the way through to LHR. Hence thinking even if MH at SIN can’t issue the BP for KUL-LHR on BA, at least I can arrive KUL and head straight to the MH lounge (as OWE) with my BA app BP? Hopefully there’s no need to get a paper BP re-issued at KUL?
