I wouldn’t consider transferring or pooling miles/points a “loophole”, as most loyalty programs offer some sort of transferring or gifting miles/points to family members. I’ve done it with AA miles and SPG points. It encourages loyalty from multiple family members (not just the sole mile/points earner) and allows flexibility with redemption. In the end people will gravitate toward programs that provide the most benefits and it’s a bummer that EVA doesn’t see that a little more flexibility goes a long way.
