A little Google Map work reveals it is just under a hour on the S Bahn, S8, transferring to S2 and a short walk, for MUC to the hotel. I was just in Munich in May, the public transit is excellent. Forgot what the fare in from the airport, but a little Google searching will get you lots of info. We took the S8 to the Hilton downtown.

The hotel is right next to one of the main train stations, and is a major transit hub. It is about 35 minutes by trolley and S Bahn to Congress Center.
