We had a very pleasant one-night stay here last weekend. I was driving down to Key West and decided to spend a night in Marathon to break up the drive. I was very impressed with the property and am very glad I moved my booking from the Holiday Inn Express up the highway.

The property is in very good shape, as is the entire Faro Blanco complex. I was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a suite (the first I've seen at a Hyatt Place) on the top floor. The living room area (with the L-shaped sofa) included a dining room table for four plus a small kitchenette. The bed and bathroom was connected via a hallway with a washroom. We had dinner at the Lighthouse Grill (with the 15% discount) and enjoyed the free breakfast. We drove over to Sombrero Beach the next day (alas, our snorkel tour was cancelled due to weather and had lunch in Marathon before driving down to Key West.

Overall, I would highly recommend this property.
