Actually no. The representative asked if I wanted 500 Hhonors points and said it was feedback to let them know how Hilton was doing. I assumed it was going to be some survey. That’s why I was so appauled and really caught off guard when it became this really high pressure sales pitch. It was like “how did I end up here by innocuously calling Hilton?” Had she mentioned anything about any kind of sales pitch I would have immediately said no.
My whole gripe with this situation is how Hilton is doing this. Yes I know you can hang up anytime, as I did, but why do this to your best customers and really use inappropriate sales methods? It’s just something you’d expect from Best Western or a low end chain, not Hilton and not to one of their most valued guests.
