I'm not sure when your trip is but possibly there will be a schedule change. Other than that its going to be tough. From my few experiences if you catch the problem right away and call AA is pretty forgiving. But even I'll admit I rarely check the details of the confirmation email to make sure I didn't screw up.
To me this seems like your best bet if you’re flight is a couple of months out. I haven’t had a trip on AA yet that I booked more than 2 months out that didn’t have a schedule change; they’ve been extremely good about allowing me to then switch to routings/times that worked better for me. Keep track of the times and call immediately if you see something change.
