You are not being elitist. Considering the price differential, I fully want and expect to use a lav separate from the hundreds of Y pax paying significantly less.
I think this has been discussed at length in the dreamliner thread, but its very hit or miss how Y pax are treated wrt the PY lavs.
Even on the same flight, I've seen some pax make it to the PY lav and others being turned away.
