I have not eaten at Daniel but I did have dinner at his offshoot, d/b Cafe Moderne. It was the worst meal I have ever had. From beginning to end, it was just awful. It would certainly not lead me to believe his original restaurant was great, so I'll avoid it. I ordered a Bellini and it was horrible. They tried but could not improve it and it was $15. I had to leave it because it was that awful.
