I would call and ask about it. In principle SQ recognizes that the A330 seat is not the same than 2006/2013 J seat and should be open to move you to another flight like the A359 one. I have gotten this done without paying a change fee, but there was award space available on my alternative option proposed. It gets trickier if there is no award space and it needs to be requested to be opened up. Possible, but more of an uphill battle, especially on a route that is served by "mixed" product anyways. Give it a try.
Thanks for that. On a second thought, I figured it's not worth prolonging my layover to get a better flat bed on a daytime flight.... (I am flying TLV->IST->SIN->BNE so by the time I get to SIN I will probably be really awake or really exhausted).
