Have others been able to do this strategy successfully? There is no penalty for canceling a reservation? Seems like National would not like this practice and would crack down if it is repeatedly done. Like book 2 refundable flight and canceling 1 of them.
I haven't personally done this but have read many posts on this forum that people have done it...so I assume it can be done?
Could be a good question to post in the FAQ thread and see what data points are out there
