I received an email for the same dates and hotel that I booked at the end of August. I noticed the price was higher and thought someone changed the price on me.
After calling the hotel I was told that I made the booking myself today on "Reservations", and had two bookings with them for the same period and guests. Has anyone had double bookings appear? I wonder if this is because I made the original booking within a couple days of the merger in August, but never received an actual confirmation. The hotel was listed correctly in my app until the phantom second reservation appeared today.
I had exact same thing happened to me but did not know there was a phantom second booking. I canceled the booking well within the cancellation policy but still was charged as a no-show on the second phantom booking. I am still trying to deal with this with the hotel and my ambassador. It has been a nightmare even though I have plenty of documentation showing otherwise.
