Dummy booking exactly the same flights + hotel three times led to three different prices: ca. £980, £1,400 and £1,700.
Every dummy booking was in Euro Traveller, but on adding the hotel the cheapest one moved the flights into Economy Plus.
Naturally I re-started and tried to book the £980 option, twice. Both times post at the final stage received:

Will 'phone them in due course, but is this just the BA website getting itself a bit confused and offering a price that doesn't exist? Naturally the process involved three different design schemes....
