Unfortunately Platinum status has few guaranteed benefits, especially at IC hotels. I can't recall any IC stays where I didn't receive anything other than a low floor, facing the garbage dumpsters, room with nothing more than a drink voucher thrown my way. Occasionally a CP will do better.

But since the OP already has Marriott Platinum status and knows exactly what to expect at the Westin (and more broadly around the world), I find it hard to imagine that the IHG Platinum status will actually get used much in 2019. IHG just doesn't do elite status benefits well...
