Not sure I quite agree regarding the food. LH's PY meals are exactly the same as economy but plated in china. At least AC's first PY meal is closer to Domestic J so there is a better differentiation. Of course the service then downgrades to Y after the first meal so ultimately I think it's a wash. I like AC's somewhat separated PY cabin on all aircraft. On LH's 748s, the PY seats are sandwiched between two blocks of Y seats, which is kind of weird and definitely takes away from the exclusivity of the cabin.
