Yeah, I think you need to remember that it’s San Francisco, where all hotels are much more expensive. Period. Way too many visitors relative to a very small group of very good hotels. So it’s all relative. Compare your hotels to others in SF to avoid false equivalency!

I think you soon will find the service and tired amenities at the Loews even more disappointing. But if you want a view, that’s the way to go. You get what you pay for, though, and there’s a reason it’s cheaper (and no longer a MO).

I dont need a hotel restaurant in SF other than for breakfast and maybe room service when I’m lazy. San Francisco has way too many amazing restaurants within easy walking distance for me to worry about that.
