Hi, I received an offer to stay few nights to become Platinum Elite. I am considering it, since I have upcoming stays with Intercontinental, Kuala Lumpur.

My wife and I used the anniversary free night at Intercontinental KL for 2 nights total. We are traveling with 2 kids (12 & 6) and we are hoping to get an upgrade.

Does IC give special previlage to Platinum Elites? Like upgrades, breakfast etc?
The other option will be Westin KL and since I have the Platinum Elite status with them, we always get Suite upgrade (with SNA) and complimentary breakfast.

Would love to hear is is it worth to go for this offer to
become Platinum Elite with IHG.
