I was there, with my spouse, in June of this year, with no particular events going on. Stayed at the Bohemia Suites, which was lovely, but not inexpensive. It was convenient to the beach and Yumbo. We are not late night persons, so bars were not crowded at 11 pm but apparently get busy around 1 am (so I was told). Drag shows were fun and entertaining. We are from Arizona, where June is arguably the hottest month, so I found the weather near perfect for me....low 80's in the day and 60's at night. Water was entirely too cold for me, so no swimming, but then again I am wuss concerning water temp....has to be over 80 for me to get in. Gran Canaria was nice, but also visited Tenerife, which certainly has gay life, but not to the extent of Gran Canaria from what we saw, and La Palma (which was my favourite). We are looking at spending 3-4 months in retirement (next 1-2 years), so will return again, as the Canaries are a possibility. Also, for us, the time to get out of Arizona is from May to Sept and not the winter, so unlikely that we would be there over the winter season.
