None of us here are experts on G visas because TWOV works pretty well, and G visas cost most citizens of Western countries the same price as better visas. That having been said, the only G visa I have actually seen was valid for one year, and capped at 7 days per stay with unlimited movement except for Tibet. IIRC, the price was quite cheap (i.e. $20).
