- The coast between Capetown and Gorge/Port Elizabeth is beautiful. Lots of very nice hotels, great food and wine. Easy to drive. Fly to CPT, spend 2 or 3 days there, rent a car and drive to George or PE and stay 2-4 nights on the way. Nice and relaxing.

We did the Garden Route drive, I thoroughly recommend Tsala Treetop Lodge in Plettenberg. Unfortunately we were unlucky as it rained the whole time, it's a beautiful place though.
